Some Reviews on Tripadvisor from Season 2014
“Amazing”
Reviewed 16 August 2016 via mobile
Words can not describe the beauty of The Old Forge Glamping site. I recently stayed here for one night with some family and friends for my sister’s Hen! We had an amazing experience and everything we needed was on site!

We had brought food to barbeque for everyone and had access to a large coal barbeque to cook on as well as an oven in the kitchen to finish everything off! Plenty of cutlery and delph supplied as well as glasses and mugs!

The tents were beautiful and the beds relatively comfortable! More comfortable than what i was expecting and i slept soundly! Each tent had a gas stove which gave you the option to heat up the place if you were feeling chilly before bed time!

We were also provided with a camp fire area with kindling and wood supplied! The decor and atmosphere of the entire grounds were just so peaceful and tranquil, we really didn’t want to leave!

There are plenty of bathroom facilities also with the option of a shower facility! We were also provided with blankets and hot water bottles if we still felt a chill! But honestly, i can not imagine feeling cold there between everything that was provided to keep you warm!

My only suggestion to people would be to bring a flashlight for heading to the toilet at night time! If you are worried about your phone losing power there are plenty of sockets to charge them in the kitchen area!

Definitely somewhere i will return to!!

Beautiful countryside idyll”
Reviewed 14 August 2016
Stayed with my family (children aged 12,9 & 4) for one night. The yurt was beautifully laid out and was warm, comfortable and welcoming,. The kitchen was very pleasant and well equipped. Another family had lit the stove and there were candles lighting everywhere. We lit the campfire and the children toasted marshmallows while the adults relaxed over a glass of wine. The hens joined us for breakfast the next day and the children played in the field while we packed up. Belinda and Janet were extremely friendly and helpful. A memorable stay in a beautiful place. Will definitely return.
